Admission Process
KSI Admissions Criteria
In order to be admitted into KSI’s Pre-Vocational, Life Enrichment and KSI Explore programs, individuals must satisfy the following criteria:
- Have a documented disability.
- Be age 18 or older (exceptions possible).
- Must be approved for funding under the Delaware Medicaid Waiver Program.
- Have a complete referral packet.
- Have an impairment or conduct not dangerous to self or others.
- Are able to be safely supported by KSI.
- If safety concerns are identified, that KSI’s development of a Risk Mitigation Plan can adequately address those concerns.
- Be able to meet their own personal care needs with minimal assistance.
- Is likely to be able to acclimate themselves to KSI’s current environment, staffing patterns, physical plant openness and production activities.
- Is likely to benefit from KSI services.
- Have parties (including family, providers, state agency partners and Navigators) willing to participate in the development and approval of the Individual Support Agreement (ISA).
- Have sufficient Family/Provider support.
- Is willing to participate in program activities.
- Can successfully pass review under the Child/Adult abuse registry.
