Members of the Millsboro Lions Club brought KSI four wheelchairs and one transport to help the organization enhance its emergency evacuation resources for participants with mobility issues.
Millsboro Lions Club’s Med Shed program includes accepting donations of new or used medical equipment in good condition, which is then loaned out at no charge to those in need in their community. KSI’s Vice President of Operations Linda Pearson communicated to CEO Heath Chasanov that a number of additional wheelchairs were needed to ensure quick and safe evacuation of participants in the case of an emergency. After a few referrals were made, the Millsboro Lions picked up the ball and coordinated delivery of the essential transport equipment.
